No Ebor Ecstasy for Scoop6 Punters after Mustajeer Masterclass

The luckless run of punters in the Scoop6 this week at York continued on Saturday when the win fund went begging once again after Mustajeer took the £1million Ebor.

Just 16 units remained after Shine So Bright edged out Laurens in the fourth leg, of which one went onto the unnamed favourite in the fifth contest at Goodwood. That was won by the joint favourite Salute The Soldier who was also the lowest racecard number meaning just one unit was in play ahead of the £1million Ebor. That ticket was on Ben Vrackie under Frankie Dettori who made most of the running but faded up the straight into seventh place.

The resulting £97,811 of the win fund will now start the pool next Saturday.

Totepool spokesman Matt Hulmes said “There were some fantastic results on the Knavesmire this week, but nobody was fortunate enough to get all six winners of the Scoop6 races on any day. The upshot is an estimated combined fund of £200k next weekend”.

The place fund paid £571.00 and was won by 27 units.
