Champions Day shocks scupper Scoop6 speculation for punters

Champions Day at Ascot produced plenty of shocks, starting with 33-1 shot Donjuan Triumphant. Silvestre De Sousa got up to win fairly comfortably in the end, knocking 47,371 tickets out of the Scoop6 win fund after the very first leg.

Race two saw superstar stayer Stradivarius’ winning streak come to an end after being out-battled by Kew Gardens. Things turned around for punters and Frankie in race three, with his mount Star Catcher holding on to justify short-odds.

King of Change’s win in the Queen Elizabeth II stakes, race four at Ascot, knocked out the remaining 33 tickets in the Scoop6 win fund.

It means the win fund of £70,712 and bonus fund of £126,248 rollover to next Saturday with jumps racing from Cheltenham.

The place fund paid £31.10 and was won by 541 units.

The Triftecta rollover pool on race 6 at Ascot swelled to a massive £189,397. There were 39.61 winning units, with the dividend paying £4,781.50 to just a £1 stake.
