£20 Million Joy Of Six - The Odds Of A Big Win With Squirrel Perms

TONIGHT'S £20 Million Must Be Won Draw could be a bonanza and The Squirrel has done the maths on what our possible perms could return.

After burning the midnight oil, the furry fellow devised a perm costing £14,080 that would give us a 6,400-1 shot of landing the six numbers, but we are certain we won't get enough in for that.

A single £2 ticket has a 45,057,474-1 chance of hitting the jackpot, so shortening the odds from more than 45 Million-to-one to around 6,400-1 would be wonderful, especially if we hit the six.

Last October's £16k plus returns came from a £7,040 perm that had a 12,800-1 chance of landing the jackpot. We almost have enough funds in already to replicate this perm, and if we cut off at 440 memberships and hit the jackpot then we would be paying out £45,454 per membership from a single ticket £20 Million win. If you had five memberships in this perm then we'd expect to be paying out around £227k if we got the single ticket win.

The slightly bigger £8,080 perm with 505 memberships is a 11,200-1 shot at the jackpot, and would pay around £39,603 per membership if we alone got all six numbers. Once again if you had five memberships we'd expect to be paying out around £200k if we got the single ticket win.

The £9,120 perm has a 9,956-1 chance of landing the jackpot, and would pay around £35,087 per membership if we got all six numbers solo, but as it stands we look unlikely to get this much in. Once more if you had five memberships in we'd expect to be paying out around £175k if we got the single ticket win.

The £14k perm, if we got enough in to get it on, and we knocked in all six as outright winners of the Jackpot, would pay £22,727 per membership. So at five memberships that would pay around £113k if we got a single ticket win.

Obviously getting all six up, even at 6,400-1 , is a long-shot, but it’s about the same odds as getting up 4 winners at 8/1 in a decent Lucky 15, so it is attainable as we got a Lucky 15 up about a month ago that paid around £28,000 to members of the Winter Series - our horseracing fans.

We will gauge between now and this evening what level of perm we should go for, and what extended chance of extra returns that the memberships would get us.

We have had 4 numbers up loads of times now, and it's only a matter of time before we improve on that with five numbers or better. We are considering cutting off the perm at 440 memberships, so as ever please do get on early. We have been having some issues with the Club Email.

Some members have also been having issues with their banks, but if you email us with a mobile number we can maybe suggest alternative payment routes if needed.
