Shadow Cast on Scoop6 Players as Midnight Scores Scottish Success
Midnight Shadow landed a surprise Scottish Champion Hurdle success at Ayr on Saturday and in the process scuppered all Scoop6 hopes.
Just ten tickets remained at halfway following Dan’s Dream 10/1 victory in the Fred Darling Stakes at Newbury, but none were on the Sue Smith trained five year old in the fourth leg.
The win fund will start next week at £413,696 while the bonus fund as swelled to £496,154.
Totepool spokesman Matt Hulmes said “The Scoop6 fields looked competitive on Saturday and punters didn’t even manage to reach the two big betting races of the day. It means we can wave goodbye to the National Hunt season at Sandown next week with well in excess of £1million on offer in combined funds.”
The place divided paid £431.40 and was won by 53 tickets, of which 4 belong to Scoop6 Superclub for a return of £1,725.60
