Royal Ascot to Start with a £1million Scoop6

Punters can look forward to a potential £1million in combined funds for the Scoop6 this Tuesday as Royal Ascot gets underway following a rollover on Saturday.

Scoop6 Superclub members will recall a couple of years ago winning a share of a £2 million win fund on the opening day of the Royal meeting and following up with a share of the £2 million bonus fund on the second day, so we are hoping for a return to happier times with another win or two next week.

Meanwhile, today (Saturday) the £127,382 win fund was in trouble after the first leg when 20/1 shot Mister Belvedere landed a family success in the Queen Mothers Cup at York for father and daughter combination Michael and Sophie Dods.

Just 346 tickets survived the opener and these were reduced to zero after Encrypted scored at 25/1 in the fifth contest on the Knavesmire.

It also means the £665,563 bonus fund survives and could be in play on Wednesday should punters select six winners form nominated races on the first day of Royal Ascot.

Totepool spokesman Matt Hulmes said “It is already the biggest week of horse racing the summer has to offer, and now interest will be heightened with the potential of a £1million Scoop6 to kickstart Royal Ascot. If the win fund is landed on Tuesday, the bulging bonus fund will be up for grabs on Wednesday.”

The place fund on Saturday paid a huge £4497.60 to just four winning tickets.

The Scoop6 will be in action on all five days during Royal Ascot with any rollovers carried over to the following days racing. The nominated races will be communicated out each day before 12pm and updates of rollovers sent out after the day’s action has finished.
