Scoop6 rolls over to Ladbrokes Trophy at Newbury

On a cracking afternoon of weekend jumps action, the Scoop6 win and bonus fund was not won and will rollover to Ladbrokes Trophy Chase day at Newbury next weekend. 

If The Cap Fits outstayed Call Me Lord to land the Coral Hurdle (Leg 3) for Harry Fry and Sea Bowen. It will be interesting to see them re-oppose in the Long Walk Hurdle back here at Ascot next month. Of course, the pair are highly likely to bump into last year’s winner and dominant staying hurdler Paisley Park if taking up that engagement. 

Lostintranslation delivered a top class staying chase performance to land the Betfair Chase shortly after 3pm, Leg 4 of the Scoop6. Bristol De Mai ran a fantastic race but ultimately succumbed to the late surge of Colin Tizzard’s hugely exciting 7yo gelding. 

The winner will now head to Kempton Park for a mouth-watering Boxing Day clash with Cyrname and quite possibly Altior in the King George VI Chase. Roll on Christmas time.
