Triumph for Solo and eleven others in the Tote Scoop6
After Newcastle was forced to abandon, the Tote Scoop6 was reduced to just five races and 11 units managed to walk away with £2,402 each to their name. The rollovers will be available next week, but there was still a cool £26,422 up for grabs. Solo was a popular winner in the Adonis Juvenile Hurdle at Kempton as 12,962 units flew to the second leg. He will be turning heads on the Friday at Cheltenham. No doubt he will be at the top of the betting for the Triumph. Hareem Queen then came around the outside in the only Scoop6 race at Lingfield to just about get to the line before Royal Birth under P J McDonald. Just under 20% of the remaining units progressed to leg three. Diego Du Charmil and Ch'tibello then produced a thrilling battle at Kempton, however neither of them managed to claim the victory as Song For Someone pounced at the very last second to win the Kingwell Hurdle, which was meant to take place at Wincanton last week. Tom Symonds’ first Grade 2 success meant 1,832 units progressed to the 3.02 at Kempton having missed the 2.45 at Newcastle. Highway One O Two made all under Tom Cannon, who won his second Grade 2 of the day leaving just 222 units in the final leg. Having revealed that Native River was going to miss the rest of the season, Mister Malarky’s victory in the Betway Chase was the good news that Colin Tizzard was looking for, along with 11 others who managed to win the Scoop6 today. Angus Robinson said: “With just a couple of weeks to go until the Cheltenham Festival, it will be interesting to see whether someone can claim the win and bonus fund before entering the mammoth four days starting on the 10th March. There is a great opportunity starting next week at Newbury, Doncaster and Kelso.â€
